Santos face an uphill battle when they meet Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus tomorrow. The People's team is now fourth from bottom having last won a game in March. Chiefs on the other hand will want all three points to close the gap on log leaders Supersport United, with two games left this season.
The Soweto team's coach Muhsin Etugral's future is still in the balance as his contract ends this season.
Santos Coach David Bright believes this uncertainty will probably have no bearing on the home side's performance.
"This kind of thing generally in football disturbs teams, for instance the players' concentration may not be at its best or they may not listen to the coach. However we can't take that as an advantage because they are still fighting for top spot in the league and we can't say what will happen."
Meanwhile Ajax Cape Coach Craig Rosslee and his Urban Warriors host Orlando Pirates at Newlands on Wednesday evening. Ajax have beaten Pirates twice this season.
Ross! lee believes this mental advantage could work in their favour.!
"They will have that in their back of their minds and they could use this as their opportunity to do reverse those results. On the other hand it might leave them exposed and we can them capitalize and get a good result out of the game."
