2010 tickets have a price tag
The Cheapest ticket at the 2010 Soccer World cup will cost R140. The announcement was made by the 2010 LOC yesterday. LOC chairman Irvan Khoza says they agreed on R 7 as the rand dollar exchange rate. Since the exchange rate will fluctuate between now and then, Khoza says they will bear the cost if the exchange rate goes over R 7.
Good news for us the Host Nation, the cheapest tickets will be sold solely to us. Reports say tickets there are about 3.1 million tickets available. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale next year and will be sold at airport terminals and online. FIFA will also give away 120 000 complimentary tickets to South Africans, as they have instituted a new ticket fund.
Head of legal affairs Leslie Sedibe says these tickets will be given to nation builders and are likely to include people who built stadiums and roads ahead of the World Cup.
The Tournament will start on 11 June, a spectacle most can't wait! to see!
